Data Privacy Executive

stc Kuwait is actively recruiting for the role of Data Privacy Executive. In this role, you will be responsible to serve as the lead authority on data privacy and protection across the organization. The DPE will be the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, including CITRA and relevant authorities and will oversee the implementation and compliance of stc Kuwait’s data protection policies in accordance with local and international regulations such as CITRA Bylaw, CITRA regulations and relevant cybersecurity frameworks. The role requires a strong knowledge to drive data privacy culture, provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders and ensure customer data is handled securely and lawfully.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Ensure Legal Compliance & Governance: Oversee stc Kuwait’s data privacy program to ensure alignment with laws like CITRA Bylaw and GDPR, while monitoring regulatory changes and advising leadership on compliance implications.
• Risk Management & Assessments: Conduct DPIAs and privacy risk assessments, manage data breach responses, and evaluate privacy risks related to third-party vendors and contracts.
• Privacy Operations & Processes: Maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), manage Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), and implement “privacy by design and by default” in systems and projects.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Agreements: Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Business teams on data lifecycle management, data sharing agreements, and enforcement of privacy controls.
• Training & Awareness: Lead employee training on privacy obligations and ensure organization-wide awareness and adoption of data protection measures.

·       Bachelor's Degree

·       Minimum 6 years of relevant Experience.

·       Fluent English and Arabic skills (written and spoken) required.
