Storage and Data Protection Senior Engineer

Valleysoft | Center of Excellence is looking for a talented and experienced Storage and Data Protection Senior Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust storage solutions and data protection strategies to ensure the integrity and availability of our clients' data.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in storage technologies and data protection solutions, with extensive experience in managing and securing enterprise storage systems. They will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams. • Design and implement scalable storage solutions to meet clients' needs.
• Develop and manage data protection strategies, including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor and optimize storage performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of storage and data protection systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful storage and data protection integration.
• Provide expert guidance and support to clients in the selection and implementation of appropriate storage technologies.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in storage and data protection.
• Document system configurations, processes, and best practices.
• Provide training and support to junior engineers and team members.
• Respond to incidents and resolve technical issues related to storage and data protection.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in storage and data protection engineering.
• Strong knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage.
• Experience with data protection solutions and disaster recovery planning.
• For Sr. Engineer: 5-7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on storage systems and data protection.
• For Engineer: 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on storage systems and data protection.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with backup solutions and data archiving.
• Relevant certifications in storage technologies or data protection (e.g., EMC, NetApp, Veeam) are a Must.
• In-depth knowledge of data integrity and availability principles.
• Ability to implement and manage storage solutions effectively.
