We are on the lookout for a Regional Lead, Data Protection to join the Delivery Hero Data Protection Office on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.
This role will be responsible for leading, coordinating and empowering the local and regional privacy professionals and champions across our operating Regions (EU, APAC, MENA, LATAM). In this capacity, the Regional Lead will work in a cross-jurisdictional and fast-changing environment, with a global impact throughout all countries of Delivery Hero’s operations. This role will ensure consistent application and enhancement of group data protection standards.
Drives strategy alignment by translating the DH group data protection strategy into actionable, region-specific implementation plans
Cultivate a highly collaborative and high-performing network of Privacy Professionals and Privacy Champions that ensure the effective application of the global privacy framework
Strategically supports the global head of privacy in building and maintaining a collaborative working relationship with the group’s EU supervisory authorities
Proactively monitor changes to major data protection laws and advice regional leads on necessary operational adjustments
Supports the team’s communications to the DH Group management board, supervisory board (including the audit & risk committees) and business leadership teams
Provide expert, risk-based privacy advice to regional business leaders on new products, initiatives and operational changes
Assists the global head of privacy with the assessment of (potential) data breach incidents and clarify notification requirements in cross-border situations
Manages fine and other legal proceedings or investigations (including related mitigation plans) in collaboration with the local Privacy Professionals
Oversee regional privacy audits, ensuring consistency in reporting and remediation efforts
Monitors ongoing developments around AI governance and supports the global head of privacy in determining DH Group’s positioning in a converging regulatory landscape
What you need to be successful
Proven experience (5+ years) in data protection / privacy or related areas
Certified expertise on EU privacy laws (IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM, TÜV DPO etc.) is a plus
Demonstrated experience in advising online technology companies and data-driven businesses, across multiple jurisdictions
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing across different cultures and functions
