About the role
We have an opportunity for two Privacy Officers to be part of our growing InfoLink Privacy Team. The Privacy Officer responds to reports of data breaches in accordance with the Mandatory Notification of Data Breach Scheme and NSWPF policy and is responsible for dealing with a variety of privacy related requests and applications. The role also provides advice and support on privacy related matters across the organisation to enhance compliance with privacy legislation.
Reporting to the Privacy Manager, the primary purpose of the role is to respond to and assess data breaches under the mandatory notification of data breach scheme, and to take responsibility for a variety of privacy related applications made by the public, including:
Internal Reviews,
Amendment Applications
Access Requests
In this role, you will also assist with:
Privacy Impact Assessments
Providing privacy advice, guidance, training and increasing awareness across the NSW Police Force to drive a privacy by design culture
Engagement with the NSW Information and Privacy Commission as required
