About the Role

  • Ensure compliance with ethical and data protection policies regulation and legislation, updating them with local requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support for Data Privacy project implementation and daily data privacy tasks.
  • Foster ethical compliance culture through communication campaigns and participation in forums.
  • Act as the main point of contact for data protection and compliance matters with various stakeholders.
  • Coordinate responses to data protection events such as data subject right requests, data breaches and maintain records.
  • Support local teams with data protection impact assessments, privacy standards, legal privacy documentation, and complex privacy questions.
  • Review and draft legal privacy and (incidentally) IT/tech related documentation, such as processing and data transfer documentation and supplier contracts.
  • Support local teams with (transformation) project implementation.
  • Manage daily ethical compliance tasks and support policy implementation.
  • Drive knowledge sharing and training locally.
  • Collaborate across functions to integrate activities.
  • Report to local senior counsel with a dotted line to the Group Data Privacy Officer.
  • The position will have cross border responsibilities.
  • Legal background, holding a LLM degree.
  • Experience in data privacy and compliance.
  • Experience in IT law and in a health care environment are a plus.
  • Understanding of EU and local data protection laws.
  • 3-5 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Working proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
