Intern for NAM Data Privacy Compliance

We are looking for an Intern to support in ensuring adequate and effective management of Data Privacy compliance risks in Nordea Asset Management (NAM). The NAM Compliance team includes the Data Protection Officer role of NAM (the NAM DPO), so we are looking for an Intern who can assist the NAM DPO with the monitoring and advice activities that the NAM DPO conducts. 

About our team

Welcome to the NAM Compliance team. We are a team of approximately 20 compliance professionals across multiple teams working with all compliance risks within NAM, i.e. Governance Risks, People Risks, Financial Crime Risks, Conduct Risks (including risk of unfair customer outcomes and market integrity risks), and last, but not least, Data Privacy risks. The Intern we are now looking for will be based in Lisbon with 2-3 other NAM Compliance colleagues and around many others NAM colleagues in total. The NAM DPO is based in Copenhagen.  

NAM is an European Asset Manager with a global presence, hence the remaining part of the NAM Compliance team is based in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, Luxembourg, Lisbon, London and Singapore, where most parts of the remaining approx. 900 other NAM colleagues are also based.

What you’ll be doing

Main responsibilities in this role: 

• Assist in managing the day-to-day tasks in the Data Privacy Compliance team
• Provide advice and support in data privacy compliance related matters 
• Contribute to the execution of data privacy compliance monitoring activities, which form part of the overall NAM compliance activities, such as identifying and assessing risks, training and reporting
• Support in maintaining, developing and implementing the Compliance Risk Management Framework within Data Privacy
