As a member of the Privacy Assessment team, the Privacy Specialist will work with Medtronic business partners and third parties to review products, services, and solutions, assess third party privacy controls, provide privacy guidance and support, and support the business in remediating privacy risk. The Privacy Specialist will also have opportunities to participate in various projects and activities within the Privacy Assessment Team, as well as on the larger Office of Privacy, Integrity, and Compliance (OPIC) team.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
· Conduct timely and high-quality Third Party Risk Assessments, assessing privacy controls, determining relevant privacy requirements, and providing privacy guidance and deliverables.
· Collaborate with Regional Privacy Partners, Legal, and other business stakeholders and project owners to discuss privacy risk and remediation options.
· Support and contribute to process improvement and enhancement projects and initiatives.
· Effectively manage working relationships and pursue new working relationship at all levels of the organization.
· Lead by example to model a culture of ethics and integrity, exercise sound judgment and courage as a trusted partner for the business and to the team.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of privacy experience; or, an advanced degree
· Familiarity with privacy and data protection laws and standards (i.e., HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR, LGPD, etc.)
· Ability to apply requirements and standards to complex issues and identify tangible solutions, preferrable in relation to compliance with privacy and data protection requirements
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
· Experience conducting privacy assessments
· Experience with Risk Management platforms (i.e., OneTrust)
