Data Privacy Engineer

We are seeking a talented Data Privacy Engineer to join our Seattle, WA based client. 

This is a full-time, direct hire position.

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

• Develop, implement, maintain and ensure company adherence to its data privacy and security governance programs related to GDPR
• Act as the point of contact and advocate for company decisions within the engineering and product teams for product implementation decisions
• Guide the company through risk management efforts
• Create policies and procedures and other data privacy guidelines
• Provide training as needed to ensure adherence to established program
• Drive design reviews to ensure compliance and alignment to GDPR

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Minimum of 3 years working in privacy or security engineering
• Active CISSP
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry ensuring GDPR compliance and other regulatory requirements
• Project management and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and assess data privacy control capabilities and provide recommendations
• Strong communication skills and highly influential
