1. Data Governance Framework
Maintain a Data Governance framework aligned to organisation strategies, ensuring it complies with legal, regulatory, contractual and data governance boundaries around data collection, use, security and disclosure
Update organisation wide policies and procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders
Implement and maintain appropriate governance groups for the implementation of the Data Governance framework
Provide training material and conduct training activities to embed data governance processes
Review, lead and update with key stakeholder, any necessary changes to data governance frameworks, policies, procedures, controls and standards, to align with regulatory requirements
2. Data Governance Implementation
Maintain governance working groups to address specific area of data governance such as AI, Data Management and Analytics Platform
Lead ongoing initiatives to embed data governance across the organisation
Collaborate with key areas to support development and implementation of standard and controls related to data governance and privacy
Provide expert advice, guidance and support for data related projects
Report progress and compliance to the Data Governance Framework
Investigate and recommend technologies to support data governance and privacy
3. Continuous Improvement
Conduct periodic audits against industry standards and report outcomes
Collaboratively work with key stakeholders to implement ongoing improvements
Identify and implement opportunities for improving capability and services
Proactively identify and drive opportunities for process improvement
Actively embrace and contribute to new approaches within the department and organisation as a whole
Build up a knowledge base of information that is shared within the broader team
